Cookouts and potty sleeping

Yes, you read that right! Potty sleeping. Lylah pee-peed in her panties during a temper tantrum, so she had to take a time-out. I'm a little unconventional at times, so I made her take her time-out on the toilet. I sat her on the potty and when I came back three minutes later I found her like this:

So... I let her sleep. About 10 minutes later she got up and was crawling out of the bathroom whining that her legs hurt. I stood her up and she wobbled around a sec before she flopped back down. I guess her legs had fallen asleep!

Here's another picture of Lylah sleeping in an unusual manner. Again, this is a result of a temper-tantrum.

This time it was because I would not let her wear what she wanted to wear, and she did not want to wear what I picked out for her. So, I let her cry it out. It was tough to stand my ground and not just let her put on the dress-outfit that she wanted. But, after she woke up we compromised and went to her closet to pick something we both agreed upon. It was a rough morning, but the day got much better after she got dressed. hehe

These next couple are from a July 4th cookout at my brother and Carrie's house.
Beautiful Mya

(I had to trick my brother into looking at the camera- hence the goofy look on his face!)

This past Saturday my Mamaw was in town visiting. So, my mom and John had a cookout and invited a bunch of our family over to visit with her. It was nice seeing everyone. I didn't get near as many pictures as I wanted, but here are a few.

I love her little wedgie!

Mya and Lylah are best friends.

Just a little experimenting...

Lylah's 3rd Birthday!

Well, Our little girl turned three on June 17th. It seems like she went from a little girl to a big girl overnight! She's talking more clearly. She knows more what she wants. And, she definitely will tell you how she's feeling if she doesn't get what she wants! lol

These pictures were taken at the small celebration we had for her on her actual birthday. She was so excited to have a little cake all to herself!

These are the gifts she got with Grandma Shirley's Bday money. Thank you Grandma Shirley!

With the money from Papaw Pete and Nana, Lylah got this Dora house. She loves it too! Thank you Papaw Pete and Nana!

That following Saturday, we had a family celebration for her -Completly Dora decked out.

Opening presents from Mamaw Elaine and Papaw John. Thank you!

Opening presents from Papaw Paul. LOVE the bag! Thank you Papaw Paul!

The stroller was from Carter and Nathan. They broke her last one from Christmas, so had the idea to get her a new one. (Although, barely a month later, it's now already broken too!)

Mommy and Daddy got Lylah a Barbie Jeep and some clothes. She was actually excited about the clothes too, which showed her girly side!

Time for cake!

Bashful girl!

Blow out the candles!!

All caked out!

Time for the pinata! (Dora of course)

Lylah had an excellent 3rd Birthday! She's growing up so fast! Zach and I love seeing the little quirks that she's developing in her behavior. She's such a big girl and we are very blessed to have her in our lives! She's already talking about her next 'birf-dayn' party and the presents she wants. Oh... what a girl!
