We went to the Hendricks County Fair last weekend- I'm a little late with the post- but it's been a long week! (That'll be a different post all together!)
The kids had a blast at the fair! It took Nathan about 15 minutes to catch a fish at the fishing game. He was having so much fun- and he was rewarded with a 18 inch plastic golf club and a choking hazzard sized golf ball.
Carter had the most fun at the water shooting game- you know- where you have to aim at the little circle and race to the top. We all (except Lylah) played twice. And- Carter was rewarded with an $18 Superman doll! But- what's money worth if you can't spend it watching your children enjoy themselves?! Lylah loved the pick a duck game. She won a blow up shark (which was loads of fun carrying around!) and she had fun with it in Mamaw's pool the next day. Too bad she didn't like the nauseating ride I was on with her. It was so bumpy it made me thankful to not be blessed in the bust! ;)
Oh- and I can't forget to tell you about the fish we won! Carter named his Optimus Prime. Nathan named his BumbleBee. (Transformer fans much?) They died the next day- which they both cried about. So... guess what we're going to get tonight... a fish tank and fish. Do I want a fish tank? Nope. Do we need a fish tank? Nope. But, I'm horrible and told them if they earned it, we'd get better fish. (Okay... so I'm just a little excited about it- but don't tell Zach!)
